November 12, 2018

This week was crazy!  We did exchanges on Monday Night and Tuesday, and I got to go with Elder Palmer in Hatch.  We did lots of finding and tracing, and found 6 new people there!
Tuesday, Brother Clark asked us and the Hatch Elders to help him haul some wood. It was quite an adventure! He told us that we would be back by noon (we left at 8am), we didn't even end up getting to the place where the wood was at until noon! The other Brother Clark told us that it would just be "a few miles up the road". We ended up going to Adobe Ranch, which is ran by the Whetten family in our branch.  It is owned by the 5th richest man in the world, and he only hired Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to work for him because they are the most honest and trustworthy. The ranch is way out in the middle of nowhere, and is a 350 million acre ranch!
This week we have also been teaching Ben a lot to prepare him for baptism. We changed his baptism date to November 24th, and he is super excited!  We have also been working with a lot of other people, and have one family that is almost ready for baptism! Friday we had District Council in Las Cruces.
Saturday we had transfer announcements, and Elder Higbee and I are staying in Truth or Consequences! Elder Palmer is leaving Hatch though, and is going to El Paso. Elder Dickson is going to be getting a new missionary that Flys in today!
I love the gospel and the Joy it brings to us and our families. Ben is almost 90 years old, and when he found out that he could be with his wife for eternity, and do work for his ancestors and family in the temple he was estatic!  I know that what we are sharing is true, and we should all share it with everyone that we meet, so that they can have the same Joy in their lives as we do! President Dallin H Oaks said, "What could be more joyful than sharing the truths of eternity with God’s children?"
Love you all! Thanks for your support!
