December 24, 2018

This week was good, we spent Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning packing and saying goodbye to people before Elder Higbee transfered. Wednesday was transfers and I picked up my new Trainee. His name is Elder Allen and he is from Saratoga Springs, UT. When we got back to T or C we went dinner and then went caroling with the Young Men and Young women. Thursday we did service for Brother Clayton and Sister Gurule.

We also did lots of living christmas Cards on Thursday and Saturday. Friday we were in Las Cruces for Zone Council. We had lunch at Sparkys with the Hatch Elders on the way back.  Then we visited some people and had dinner with a family we are working with. 

Sunday we had a special Christmas Sacrament meeting, and that is the strongest I've felt the spirit my whole mission. (I cried) After that we went with the Shipleys up to the Adobe Ranch to Carol to the Whettens.  The Adobe Ranch is 2-3 hours away from town, and the Whettens still come to church every week!  This morning we went and pulled weeds with the Hatch Elders and Brother Newling at Sister Stoner house.  Then we went and served Lunch at the Senior Center with the Shipleys and some other branch members. Tonight we have dinner with Alphonso and then there is a Christmas Eve Party at the Shipleys!

I love Christmas, and I know as we remember the true meaning of Christmas and focus on Christ we will have true peace and joy in our lives!
